About
Kara has a background in education and social services, and has been exploring the healing arts and energy medicine for most of her life. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through YogaLife of NH, and is both a Certified Biofield Tuning Practitioner and a Reiki Master.
She believes that a core tenet of health is finding and allowing oneself authenticity and joy. For Kara, a major turn on this path was made when she finally listened to the persistent urge to paint! Her grandfather, Joseph Hunt, was also a painter and Kara has many special memories of times spent drawing and painting with him. He told her once, regarding creating art: "It's not what you do with your hands; it's what is inside of you."
Every session is unique. Each person is seen and heard regarding what is taking place for them in that moment, as well as their overarching goals. Care is taken to provide conditions conducive to full relaxation, where the body's innate healing abilities and intelligence can flourish, and the healing modality can be most effective. Sessions take place either over the phone, or in person in southern New Hampshire.
Similarly, each painting is unique, and created with love and sense of possibility as it forms. Paintings can be purchased directly through this site, by contacting Kara directly, at September Sky in Hampton, NH, Windows on Water Gallery in Exeter, NH, Humble Warrior Power Yoga in Exeter NH, and at various exhibitions which are kept updated under the "events" tab. Currently, domestic shipping is included unless otherwise specified. Reach out to arrange international shipping. Commissions are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
